What an incredible three days of learning, networking, and community! The SAP Controlling 2025 Conference brought together professionals from across the globe—from as close as San Diego to as far as New Zealand and Australia.

Here’s a look back at the highlights.

Sunday: Pre-Conference Foundations

As always, we kicked things off with our pre-conference day—a much-anticipated reunion for returning attendees and a warm welcome to first-time participants. While it’s technically “pre-conference,” this day is packed with foundational sessions designed to level-set knowledge and prepare everyone for the deeper dives that follow.

The morning featured two deep-dive workshops on Product Costing and Overhead Controlling, followed by lunch and plenty of networking opportunities.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Universal Allocations and Cost Flow, and then came one of the most popular sessions: the Participant-Driven Workshop. Guided by Marjorie Wright and a panel of experts, this session lets attendees shape the discussion—choosing topics, asking real-world questions, and collaborating on solutions with peers and thought leaders.

“I really enjoyed the pre-conference deep dive workshop. Margie did a great job with the panel of experts and answering the questions as a group. The jump start sessions are always helpful to level set knowledge.”
– Marianne Mohn

Monday: Day 1

Day one officially opened with the much-anticipated keynote from Paul Ovigele: Reimagining Controlling in the Age of AI and Predictive Analytics. From there, a stellar lineup of experts delivered sessions on topics like:

Lunch offered another great chance to connect with both experts and peers.

“By far, my favorite aspect is that the speakers get involved and get to know us. Talking to us in a small setting and allowing us time to learn from them and bounce ideas off them is invaluable. This makes this conference a no-brainer for me.”
– Tabitha Harlow

The afternoon continued strong with Tim Curtin from insightsoftware on Eliminating Excel Dependencies in SAP Financial Reporting, followed by presentations such as Master Data Management in Central Finance (Anand Seetharaju) and The Advanced Finance Closing Cockpit (Rogerio Faleiros).

That evening, our Welcome Reception doubled as a celebration of ERPfixers’ 10th Anniversary. Paul Ovigele and his team have been longtime supporters of our conference, and we were thrilled to host their milestone celebration.

“The new venue for the reception was fabulous and very impressive. The food was delicious, and transforming the venue into such a beautiful space was a great idea. We all loved it.”

We also celebrated our expert speakers by giving away copies of their newly released books—an exciting way for attendees to continue learning long after the conference ended.
