Using 3 rd Party Software to Create Standard Cost Estimates for S/4HANA Systems

Description

Sometimes it is not always practical to create standard product cost estimates in S/4HANA systems due to the scope of the implementation. For manufacturing companies, if the manufacturing quantity structures are maintained in external MES systems, then the data may not be available in S/4HANA to easily create the cost estimates.

This session will cover the situations for which 3 rd party calculation software can be used effectively and when the decision to use such software should be avoided. As more features are being added to S/4HANA, it is important to understand the requirements and restrictions involved in such an interface and whether the interface might inhibit taking advantage of these features when the system is upgraded. A high-level discussion of the pertinent data tables and calculation methods is included.
